Run by one resident, not an office
Anderson Island Life is an independent community information site, created and maintained by an Anderson Island resident, with no staff, no office, and no board. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of Pierce County, the Riviera Community Club, the Anderson Island Parks District, Fire District 27, or any other island organization.
One person keeps the ferry links current, writes up the servicees, and updates the closures. It started as a way to put information that used to live in scattered social media posts, various organization websites, and word of mouth somewhere a new resident or a first-time visitor could actually find.
Most of what appears here starts as local knowledge. For anything that can change on short notice, this site links directly to the source rather than copying a number that might go stale.
The site carries a small amount of advertising but it doesn't change what gets written on these pages.
