Local Services
A small, ferry-only island runs lean. Here's what's open, what closed, and where to find what the island does have.
What's actually open right now.
The island lost several mainstays in early 2026. The General Store, gas station, cafe, hardware store, deli, and Post Office all closed. There is no grocery, no fuel, and no place to mail an outgoing package on the island - plan to bring what you need and fill your tank before you board.
What's still here: the Riviera Lakeshore Restaurant (open to the public), a summer ice cream truck, the Johnson Farm gift shop and garden market in season, the golf pro shop, and a handful of island-based businesses. The pages below lay out each one.
