Events Calendar
The rhythm of the island year - the festivals, gatherings, and traditions that bring everyone out, season by season.
A small island keeps a full calendar.
For a place this quiet, there's a lot going on - especially in summer. The island marks the year with a handful of beloved traditions: a salmon and rib bake at the farm, an open studio tour, a Labor Day parade, cider-pressing in the fall, and a winter art show, plus the steady rhythm of club meetings, work parties, and markets.
Most are hosted by the island's volunteer organizations and clubs. Here's what comes around each year, roughly when to expect it, and who to follow for exact dates.
The Anderson Island app keeps a live calendar.
For day-to-day events and activities, the Anderson Island Assistant app is the most current source on the island. Alongside real-time ferry tracking, it lists community events, meetings, and what's happening this week - updated by the people who run things here.
It's a worthwhile download for anyone living on or visiting the island.

The regular rhythm.
Beyond the big annual events, the island keeps a steady weekly beat. Monday trivia and Wednesday bingo at the Lakeshore Restaurant are both open to everyone. The island's organizations - the Parks District, Fire District, Historical Society, and the Riviera - hold regular board and member meetings, most open to the public.
For meeting schedules, check each organization's site on the Organizations page.
Tell us about your event.
Running an island event you'd like listed? Send us the details - what, when, where, who it's for, and a contact - and we'll add it. Community gatherings, fundraisers, club events, markets, and meetings are all welcome.
A full, searchable calendar with exact dates and event details is in the works. For now, the seasons above and each organization's own site are the best way to plan ahead.
